Word For New Covenant Church—April 13, 2008
I have planted you as a victory garden, for a time of spiritual war and
famine—water it, tend it and keep it in humility, and I will water it with

A Call To Prayer!
We are calling the church to a week of prayer and fasting. This week we will
join together to ask God’s wisdom and direction as we continue in His plan
for us. The sanctuary will be open for prayer Monday through Friday from
5:00 pm—6:00 pm. Suggested areas of prayer will be listed. Couple your
prayer with fasting during this week and let’s arise to the call!
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL!
Anyone helping or anyone who would like to help with VBS, join us Monday,
May 19th in Hippo’s at
7 PM for information and preparation for VBS.
ATTENTION ALL MEN!
Our “Band of Brothers” covenant group will begin a new video series Sunday,
May 18th. Join with us as we travel the “Agape Road”, hosted by Bob Mumford.
Come be part of what God is doing amongst the men of our church.
“Overcoming Overload”
Stan & Karen Jones’ covenant group has just begun this new study by Steve
Farrar. Join them as they look at 7 Ways to Find Rest in a
Chaotic World.
New Outreach! “Community Closet”
Our target to open is May 12th!
Free Men, Women & Children's Clothes
Monday-Friday 11am-1pm @ NCC Annex
We’re ready to receive men, women and children’s clothes and shoes for our
“Closet”.
We also need hangers.

New Chronicles of Narnia Movie Showing
“Prince Caspian” will be showing at Cinemark on May 18th. NCC
is invited to watch the 5:05 PM showing together. Management at
Cinemark strongly encourages us to pre-buy tickets. Go to

If you are graduating from high school, college or receiving a post-graduate

How Can I Help?
Volunteer For Nursery or Children’s Ministry
If you are interested in helping out in nursery or children’s
ministry, please see or call Elaine Brelsford @ 554-9498.
Ushers For Sunday Morning Service
Ushers are needed to assist with serving communion and taking
up offering during the Sunday morning worship service. If you can help,
please see Dennis Greene or call him at 554-0583(h) or 441-6812(w).
Our
Community Kitchen Is Growing!
We are feeding more and more each week. Here’s your opportunity to help
others, as we’ve been learning. To serve in any aspect of this ministry call
Brad Faulkner @ 270-559-6170.

Van Ministry
We need a male who will assist our female volunteer van driver to help
transport people to and from church Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.
If you can help by driving or riding along, please call the church office at
575-3400.
Hospital Visitation
Many who attend NCC, occasionally have family members admitted to the
hospital. If you would like to visit and pray for them, please call the
church office at 575-3400.

Bring the Children for a Day of Family Fun
Summer Camp in the Ozarks
The dates are June 16-20.
Camp is $240 per camper plus travel and misc. expenses.
So far, we have about 25 people signed up. If you want to go and haven't
told Elaine, PLEASE LET HER KNOW. We will begin collecting $50 deposits
soon, so keep watching for details of our preparation for camp.
